You’ll meet your guide and a small group of fellow travelers in central Florence. Look for the exact location on your booking voucher.
Sip and snack at a historic wine window
Wander to a traditional buchetta del vino, believed to be one of Florence’s oldest. Enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine and a crunchy tarallo as your guide shares stories of Renaissance-era merchants and quirky Florentine traditions.
Taste Tuscany’s comfort-food classics
Next, settle into a cozy enoteca (wine shop) with a kitchen for a variety of Tuscan flavors. Enjoy Prosciutto, salami, two cheeses, tomato bruschetta, classic thick tomato soup known as pappa al pomodoro, and two different paccheri pasta dishes one with yellow tomato sauce and the other with classic tomato sauce. Then indulge in a tasting selection of Orange mustard, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. These tastings are paired with a locally sourced wine for the full Tuscan experience.
Cross Ponte Vecchio into the Oltrarno

We really enjoyed our evening food tour and dinner with Riccardo. He was very knowledgeable and answered all the crazy questions we threw at him. The tour included just the right amount of walking...not too much, not too little. The group size worked well, and it was a fun group.

The tour walk was longer than anticipated and the amount of tastings were meager however, it was made well with the ending of Florentine steak and the wonderful guidance by Gregorio.

Great evening with wonderful food. Our delightful guide, Victoria, was knowledgeable, interesting, & fun. Four food stops that were all excellent. Good wines too! Lori was fantastic as our guide, and helped us enjoy one of the highlights of our trip. I have done a few of these food tours in Italy, and they are always great in all honestly, but Lori has an infectious personality which it is difficult not to like, and her knowledge of both the food and it's origins made this a little different, and so memorable. She even got my sense of humor, which not everyone does, so the night ended up being a good laugh, as well as educational. The food was outstanding too, should mention that I suppose, with the pasta dishes being really impressive, though the star was the Florentine steak, which I thought was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. All in all I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to do something a little different. It is tremendous value, a fantastic way to spend an evening, and the company is just great. You will love it. Thank you Lori. See you again soon I hope!
